“Wow! What a great location. This cottage looked small from the outside but was more space than we could imagine. The three bedrooms were great, especially the bunk/trundle that the kids loved. Kitchen was well stocked and the washer & dryer made dealing with dirty clothes from skiing so easy. Plus, the short walk to a wonderful market (not to mention many restaurants nearby) meant you could do everything you needed without getting in a car. It was close to skiing which was nice for early morning ski classes. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and try out the cute beaches in town. Will be back for sure – well maintained and comfortable spot to hang your hat!!!”

“Can’t say enough about Powell’s splendid cottage in Harbor Springs. It is what AirBnB used to be: a real home tastefully decorated with the charm and soul of real people that have actually lived there. Many factors must be left to the unknown when vacationing nowadays—but thankfully if you stay with Powell—lodging will not be one of them. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable and you’ll sleep like a child. The pillows—oh don’t get me started on the pillows—pillows are the most important ingredient to a good night’s sleep and these pillows could have been snuck out of a Four Seasons for all I know. I’d stay again just for the pillows. The kitchen is supremely stocked. Everything you need to whip up a home-cooked meal right down to the Hoisin sauce you’ll never use but makes you feel so much more confident knowing it’s there. There’s a fantastic grill outside that lights in a flash with a yard big enough to host family and friends. A fire-put for the cold nights and plenty of wood that’s already chopped and ready to drop. The living room is wonderful for cozy nights–board games for the kids–a large TV and cozy couch for the parents to relax and enjoy as well. It is rare you find a gem so complete with everything you need —run to reserve this: its a no-brainer.”

“Last month my husband and two (young) children spent a week in Harbor Springs at this beautiful cottage. Everything we could have possibly needed, especially whilst traveling with children, was catered for. The rooms, beds, linens were immaculate and clean and every utensil or supply in the kitchen was catered for. The lawn games, tree swing and fire pit in the backyard made for fun s’mores nights too with the children. The location is extremely convenient. We sometimes drove over to the main strip in downtown Harbor Springs (2mins) but the majority of times we just walked (10min). Countless restaurants, stores, grocery stores, boutiques at our fingertips and of course the harbor, beaches, parks, playgrounds and lake are all right there too. We loved the location and house and will definitely be back!”
